D/AE Double Archangel Enterprise and Double Art Angel cover art Terms and Conditions.

By reading this form and submitting a request, you are entering into a legal contract with Mikael (Johan) Gabriel Grönblad, also known as Double Art Angel, D/A-E, or Double Archangel Enterprise. The information provided by the client in the commission form serves as a legally binding signature, acknowledging and agreeing to all terms outlined in this agreement.

The client will proceed to pay half of the total amount (50% of the project price, including the Finish VAT-Tax of 25,5% ) at milestone 1 (one) of the project. This part of the payment will represent the money needed to acquire the licenses for the resources used to create the design and also the guarantee that the client will fulfil his obligations.

Once the design is finalized, the client will pay 50% of the total fee, along with any additional costs, if necessary, at the end of the project. The pricing for any additions to the project follows the pricing outlined in the additions pricelist, which is available in the form and on the "Book Covers and Album Designs" page.

The only exception to this rule is the Premade Pack. In this instance, the payment process begins when the client confirms their intention to purchase it as a product, acknowledging that there are no revisions for pre-made designs.

The prices for all book cover packages are fixed, except for changes in the Finnish government VAT tax, which, starting in 2025, will remain at 25.5%. Please note that additional fees may apply for any extra services requested by the client. More information regarding these additional fees can be found under the "Additions Price list".

Upon receipt of the client's feedback, D/A-E is committed to providing up to 3 revisions for the design (excluding premade book covers) with no extra charge, if needed. Each revision will require an additional 1-2 days for completion. It is important to note that the desired outcome should be achieved before this limit. 

The client may choose not to utilize all three revisions, and the price will stay the same nonetheless.

The request for a 50% Advance fee from the minimum amount of the price as insurance for the product should the client opt to terminate the project prematurely will be sent as a separate invoice.

Any cancellations made by the client prior to D/A-E commencing work on the project will be processed free of charge. In such instances, the client must have made no payment before the cancellation.

Conversely, cancellations initiated by the client after D/A-E has begun work on the project—defined as starting with research and asset collection—will be subject to a charge. In this case, the 50% deposit paid by the client will be non-refundable.

If the client cancels after asking for additions to be made in advance (products from the "Additions Price list" provided on the Book covers and Album Designs web page), the client will have to pay a compensation fee of 50% of the price of the entire project including the starting price and the add-on fee, plus the including Fin VAT-Tax of 25,5%, would the client wish to cancel or postpone the project prematurely.

If the client cancels the project, an invoice for the cancellation fee will be sent with a due date of 14 days. The standard Invoice procedure will follow this.

If the client wishes to postpone the project, the files will be put on hold, and the project will restart at the date the client and D/A-E agreed upon, respecting the 50% cancellation fee.

There are no refunds for premade book covers. However, each cover purchased will be considered exclusive to the client.

If a client buys a premade book cover that does not meet their requirements, they can contact D/A-E to discuss the possibility of revising the cover or making additional modifications as needed. These modifications will be priced in accordance with the rate for Custom-made book cover Pack, as outlined in the "Book Covers and Album Designs" price list.

When the client and D/A-E reach an agreement, the client is permitted to transfer the cover. The cover product may only be relocated to another person for the same price (or lower) that the original client paid. The original client will manage the relocation process.

Upon agreement of the first initial draft, which includes main images, concepts of backgrounds, editing services, and overall design concept, the client can ask at any time for revisions. There will always be three(3) Free-of-charge revisions include:


1.  Text (change of title / author name / subtitles / publisher / etc);


2.  Fonts and text styles or text placement(white space adjustments)

3.  Small changes such as recoloring and composition re-positioning.


4.  Resizings for online use or printing.

Complicated changes that might alter the overall look of the original design and changes that require more time to be completed and reintegrated into the overall design, such as;

5. Changes in the position of models or objects, new 3D sculpts required, replacement of models or objects, the addition of more overall assets, changes of custom background, etc.

Post three(3) free revisions; there will be a revision fee added following the description of the Revisions bullet point in the "Additions Price list".

Any requests that do not meet industry standards, genre-appropriate design, or any offensive or harmful content and/or explicit ideas that violate terms of service, such as racism, political propaganda agenda, etc., will not be allowed. 

If the client needs a revision that has not been named above, please contact Double Archangel Enterprise via email or the contact page. D/A-E's Art Director, Mike, will get back with an answer within 48 hours.

The client agrees to include the following credits in all formats of the creative content, including ebooks, print copies, audiobooks, and any future formats. It is essential to acknowledge D/A-E (Mikael Johan Gabriel Grönblad) for their contributions, which should include full writing credits or hyperlinks to www.doublearchangel.com where appropriate. This ensures proper recognition of the studio's work and adherence to professional standards.

All rights and permissions related to trademarks, licenses, and the distribution of the materials are acquired and held by the client. The client agrees to identify, indemnify, and defend Double Archangel Enterprise (Mikael Johan Gabriel Grönblad) and/or any members of D/A-E Studios against any and all copyright or permission infringement claims arising from materials provided by the client or requested for creation by the client.

The client will receive exclusive rights to the completed works only after the project is finalized and the invoice has been fully paid by the client and processed by Double Archangel Enterprise. The client is not permitted to alter or edit the provided final and or draft files made by D/A-E without obtaining permission from Double Archangel Enterprise or Double Art Angel.

All images provided by Double Archangel Enterprise (D/A-E) are licensed from a third party for use in digital or print materials, with a cap of up to 500,000 copies. If an extended licence is required, please check in advance, as an additional fee will apply for either an extended or enhanced licence.

Double Archangel Enterprise and Double Art Angel retain the right to use the client’s final book cover design, name, and book title (or any other non-book cover designs) on the Book covers and Album Designs  webpage. Additionally, D/A-E may showcase these designs in any relevant portfolio and, with the client's permission, on the social media accounts of Double Art Angel and Double Archangel Enterprise. This is done to provide proof of reference for the final product while ensuring that spoilers are avoided by using placeholder text (such as Lorem Ipsum) instead of the actual narrative or synopsis. Furthermore, D/A-E reserves the right to market and promote our studio's services.

Double Archangel Enterprise retains exclusive copyright and ownership of all design assets. This includes established policies regarding the creation of fan art that incorporates copyrighted material remaining for personal, noncommercial use only. It is important to note that there is a strict prohibition on the sale or mass production of such artwork without the appropriate licensing agreements. Any fan art created by Double Archangel Enterprise will be designated for personal use only, and all parties in this agreement are committed to complying with all copyright laws.

Modifications of any kind—such as the removal or addition of text, watermarks, changes in color, or alterations in dimensions—are strictly prohibited by third parties. Any necessary modifications or revisions to original designs will be executed solely by members of Double Archangel Enterprise or Double Art Angel Studio.

Clients must ensure that they legally own any provided images or have obtained the rights to use them. They will bear full responsibility for any actions or claims related to copyrighted images. Double Archangel Enterprise and Double Art Angel, along with all studio members, will not assume responsibility for any such claims.

All client information is confidential and may only be used by Double Archangel Enterprise and Double Art Angel, along with all studio members, to complete the required designs and provide invoicing information. This information is classified and will not be disclosed or shared with any third parties.

Double Archangel Enterprise and Double Art Angel, along with all members of the studio, will not be held liable if an artwork is found to be similar to others based on general trends, themes, or genres in cover art.

Double Archangel Enterprise and Double Art Angel, along with all studio members, hereby retain all rights to the creative images produced during and post-production process. By entering into this agreement, the client acknowledges and agrees that they will not utilize any designs created by Double Archangel Enterprise for the purpose of third-party artificial intelligence training, nor will they reproduce any of these designs with such actions.

The client is responsible for testing and verifying the final form of the printing. At no point will Double Archangel Enterprise, Double Art Angel, or any studio members be held financially or legally liable for any issues, costs, fees, or expenses incurred by the client as a result of using the book cover design. Double Archangel Enterprise, Double Art Angel, and all studio members are not liable for any incidental, indirect, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages, including loss of revenue or profits, loss of business or reputation, or loss of data, in any way related to our services. Furthermore, Double Archangel Enterprise, Double Art Angel, and all studio members are not responsible for any claims, losses, or injuries resulting from errors or inaccuracies appearing on our website or in our clients' written documents, including but not limited to breaches of the terms and conditions of this agreement.
